This is my spiritual journey. I am looking for the truth of who I am and who God is, unfettered by the traditions prescribed by my family, church and culture.

If I had No Fear

If I had No Fear,
I would never shave or wear a bra.
I would sing every day at the top of my lungs
Until I became good at it.
I would weep loudly, and not stifle my cries of ecstasy
I would not apologise for my existence
Or the existence of my children
If I had no fear

I mean what would happen if you did.
Here's a post I wrote about fear.

There is nothing to fear except fear itself.

When afraid, we just need stand our ground and focus on it in our meditations until we transcend it.

Ultimately, we are all one, there is no need for apologies.. Just be.. :-)

Very powerful stuff...you should never have to apologize for your existence, or the existence of your children, and how horrible it is that you've ever been felt to feel that you should...though, sadly, that's what an awful lot of us experience, so you're far from alone....

By the way, I just noticed that your petition up there was posted on the forty-second anniversary of my existence as a person breathing the air of this world...and how horrible it is that I've ever felt the need to be ashamed of that existence in those (now) almost forty-three years....

Well, shaving armpits isn't exactly common in europe or other parts of the world. Infact it didn't become popular in the states until the 1930s. And leg hair, same thing, its just mainstream culture throughout different times and socities, and we happen to live in a hairless society at the moment. In fact the shaving of pubic hairs was law in Japan decades ago and now they consider girls with pubic hair very erotic. So there is nothing to 'fear,' just the Ego not wanting to be 'damaged' or 'hurt' because it does not fit mainstream society. And a bra? Go braless, the 60s and 70s had a no bra feminist era going on there, so if you don't want a bra, don't wear a bra.
Namaste!

Thank you all for your kind comments.

This blog is my deep expression of everything I think and feel, exploring even my darker sides.

Shaving and wearing bras isn't the issue. I know women who love their bras, who would experience pain if they went braless (thank Goddess for very small blessings, I say!)

It's just the motivation behind it.

I have another blog, for my 'goddess self.' It is:

http://ariadnestemple.blogspot.com/

That's my fearless self!

I don't know why I'm doing this all in public domain. I never had an audience before so I guess it felt more like a diary. I'm feeling more intimidated now (maybe I shouldn't have joined the blog directory!) Oh my vanity...

Hi!
Wish you will be brave!
Fear is just your own feeling, for sure you can control them.
See you around.
